54 plates done and table is ready for more pots. Today I’m making vases like the one in the background. Small bouquet size. Garden cuttings size. This classic shape is based on a vase my mother had that sat on our dining table and I would look at for the many years of my youth. Pots are made throughout history in various sizes and shapes to fulfill many a function. Some work better than others. I make mine with the intention of working and adding to someone’s life and aesthetic consciousness. All this comes to mind with this cup of coffee from a cup which I looked at as a young student of pottery many years ago. It still inspires me. Thanks Bruce! #cousinsinclay #mugshotmondays (at Kline Pottery)

Virtual Clay Panel

nceca:

Welp, I transcribed the virtual clay panel and then ironically, Tumblr ate the post. Or more like the poor wifi at the convention center ate the post. I hope to be able to re-transcribe it, but I am going to bullet point what I remember here. PS: you can see all the related tweets by searching for…

Notes from our panel at NCECA last week!

Time to rally for Christa, folks! If you haven’t heard, Christa Assad, one if the most dynamic potters out there, broke her back a month ago trying to get out of her house that was on fire. She lost everything and is in brace for at least three months. You can help by donating money in any amount or if you give $25 or more you can enter a raffle for this cup of mine. Many others are doing raffles too, so go to
